Kromě baskytar s označením BASSO IV - X, baskytar BASORE nebo basovky PAMPERO, která další označení neměla, byly baskytary označeny nějakým názvem a BASS, případně BAS. Je to zajímavé, ale i do označení baskytar zasáhla dlouhá a všemocná ruka KSČ (pro mladší - Komunistická strana Československa).

The first Jolana bass guitar was Basso IV (1960), produced in Hradec Kralove. The name IV corresponds to the number of strings because at the same time a six-string bass Pedro was made. Basso V followed Basso IV and it seems at the time it was issued noone at Jolana remembered the reason why Basso IV had this number, so the new model was called Basso V.

Jolana Basso 4, made in Czechoslovakia Basso IV is the first Czech electric bass guitar made in Hradec Kralove, Czechoslovakia. Introduced in 1960, its design is based on the Star, or Futurama II (export version), which was a two- pickups relative of infamous Futurama/Graciososolidbody guitar.
